I can’t decide whether I am getting rather unhealthy obsession with Tattoo’s, Kat Von D or a mixture between the two.
I’m going with the latter.

You know, I really admire Kat Von D.
I have a few friends that have met her and been around her and I remember them saying that she wasn’t very friendly. But then again, I look at my own acquired L.A. attitude and I don’t blame her one bit. I love watching her draw on L.A. Ink, whether it’s tattooing or sketching. What gets me the most is that she just sits there and draws people’s faces from memory and they are perfect. As an artist myself seeing that, that’s a fucking gift. She’s so talented and embraces it. Yeah, I’m sure she embraces her fame, too. Honestly, who wouldn’t? But the way she goes about it.. she doesn’t try to go over the top for anyone, she’s tattooed head to toe and do you think she would have ever cared if some sandwich shop ever hired her? She could have easily sold her shop when she became famous, but she kept it, because that’s who she is. She just did her own thing, stayed true, and followed her dream. And, amongst all of this, she has a body- like a real body. I admire that so much. Media shoves all these stick skinny models down our throats as beauty, and Kat is the exact opposite. Tattoos, curves, and a different kind of pretty- a unique pretty. I think that Kat Von D portrays a better image for girls and women more than any faked out, fame whore. Just sayin’
